Carlos Ballesteros got SSF on the board early with a goal in the 11th minute as South City looked to take momentum and carry it towards a victory. The teams battled equally throughout the first half with both sides creating chances, however, neither side was able to find the net. Things took a big turn in the second half as United struck for 2 scores in the first 4 minutes to take a 2-1 lead. South City put on pressure and worked hard to find an equalizer.
SSFAC wouldn't let up and kept coming at United, but the team from Richmond held on to their lead. Eventually tired legs took over and Bay Area United closed out the match scoring twice more in the final 14 minutes to secure the win.
South City will enjoy a weekend off and then return to action when they face Dublin United FC on Sunday, November 6th at El Camino High School with kickoff set for 10:30am
