Game Comments:

SSFAC battled a very difficult Dublin Celtic FC team that only had 10 players available. Both teams worked hard to find a goal, but it was even harder for South City as Dublin played a very compact tight game in the back trying to force SSF from working inside the penalty area. The match became a contest to see who could breakthrough and find a goal. After a scoreless 1st half, SSF finally got on the board as Sully Donohue found Ryan Waterston in a good place with a perfectly weighted pass which Waterston tucked home to give the locals the lead in the 69th minute. Brendan Cadam making a return to the lineup after injury, was solid in the middle of the pitch as his ball handling and possesion led to opportunities for SSF to try and increase their lead. Carlos Ballesteros almost connected but his strike hit the post. As the game wore down, Kian Katanfoorosh put in a great corner that found Waterston for his 2nd goal of the match and the final score of 2-0.

The team got solid efforts from Felipe Gonzalez who played a strong Center Midfield, and also Djim Andemel and Kevin Ma who anchored the back helping give GK Adrian Monroy his 3rd shutout on the season.

Up next for the team is a very tough match with front runner JASA RWC who may be the odds on favorite to win the Pacific Premier Division. The match is set for Sunday, November 13th at El Camino High School with a gametime of 10:30am
