If there is one thing SSFAC has learned in their 1st season in the SWPL, you can't take anything for granted. Every team in the Pacific Premier Division is good and you have to be on it every game. Mistakes will hurt you and that was evident last night in JASA's U23 win over South City by 3-1
Each time SSF made a sloppy clearance, JASA punished them with 2 superb strikes, as they countered attacked and found the net. The team was down 2-0 at halftime and came out strong to try to get themselves back into the match in the second half. A JASA goal in the 52nd minute was answered by SSF when Greg Hui tallied after a beautiful through ball from Kian Katanforoosh. That restored JASA's lead back down to 2 goals, but South City couldn't come up with any other goals as they pushed hard until the final whistle.
The result left SSF with their 3rd loss in 8 games, and now some time off to spend a Thanksgiving week with family and friends. The team will get it's chance at a payback when they host JASA U23 on Sunday, December 4th at El Camino High. Kickoff will be at 10:30am.
To all our followers, family & friends....HAPPY THANKSGIVING from everyone at SSFAC
