SSFAC picked up a big win Sunday as they defeated JASA U23 by a count of 3-0. It was a feel good win that was needed, after they had lost the previous match to JASA two weeks ago. Aidan Durgerian got the 1st of his two strikes early as an assist from Carlos Ballesteros found him and he convereted for a 1-0 lead just 5 minutes in. Shortly thereafter, a great ball in from Greg Hui set Durgerian up for his 2nd tally of the day giving the team a nice 2 goal cushion just 9 minutes into the match. South City found the net one more time before the half as Sam Nadell notched a beauty to give the team a comfortable halftime lead.
That was all they needed as great play from the midfield core as well as the solid back line of defense, controlled the entire second half to enable GK Adrian Monroy to collect his 4th shutout on the season. The battle in the Pacific Premier continues to be very competitive as 3 clubs fight for the 4th place standing and only 6 points seperate 1st from fifth.
