SSFAC was looking to make a contiuing climb in the PSL Premier Division as the 2005 season got underway. The 2 previous seasons saw them start their climb as a 7th place finish in 2003 and a 3rd place finish in 2004 had laid the groundwork for a promising season. Five wins in 2003, gave way to a 9 win season in 2004 and things were begining to look up.

SSF got off to a great start with 3 straight wins, capped off by an 8-0 rout over Internationale on opening day. The team wound up sweeping home & away victories against Ushua Peru, Harmonie, Peninsula Fury & Portola Concordia, with their 2nd result over Concordia, a 6-1 win, locking up a 2nd place finish as SSFAC ended the year at 11-3-2 scoring 47 goals while allowing only 18. The 18 goals against were the 2nd fewest allowed since giving up 12 in 1995-96 & again in 2021-22.

SSF was led by Ed Hill with 13 goals, Jonathan Wong with 5 and Diego Levinas & Blair Smith with 3 each. Goalkeepers Daniele Capoferri & Danny Cardoza combined for 6 shutouts.
