South City didn't quite get off to the start that they had hoped for in week one as they dropped a 5-0 decision to San Mateo Dinamo. The match started on a positive note as SSFAC dominated possession in the opening 20 minutes, putting a half dozen shots on goal but came away with nothing to show for it. San Mateo came back to get the opening goal after 29 minutes, but a great chance to equalize for South City came undone as Andrew Elliott's penalty kick was saved by Dinamo's keeper to preserve the lead. The second half belonged to San Mateo as they managed to put home four more chances, while SSF could never find their rhythm. SSF now turns their attention to Palo Alto SC when they meet next Sunday at San Mateo High School with kickoff set for 10:00 am
