SSF again started the match by going down a goal, although this time it didn't come until the 36 minute as the match was evenly played through the first half. Unfortunately Gordon Biersch scored in the first minute of the second half to take a 2-0 lead. South City then took the game back to Biersch as they began to put great pressure on the Biersch defense. It paid off in the 51st minute when Ali Ibrahim knocked down a clearance by the Biersch goal keeper and slotted the ball across the goal mouth for a finish by new comer Jovian Amirkiai. Gordon Biersch struck again 12 minutes later, but SSF again responded as Kevin Steiger put home a Penalty Kick to make the score 3-2 in favor of Biersch. South City pressed hard for the equalizer but the final goal came just 8 minutes from time as Gordon Biersch closed out the scoring at 4-2. Man of the match for SSF was reuben Wartens who had a brilliant game at outside back. South City takes the week off before returning home to play Goal Busters at El Camino High on Feb 8th.
