It was a classic battle between two hard working teams that had to fight their way through rain and strong winds on a nasty day in South San Francisco, and in the end, Goal Busters managed to squeak out a 2-1 win over SSFAC. Busters struck early when they scored in the 1st minute of the match off a header from 5 yards out. The game then settled down and became a tough battle with both clubs attempting to play their way thru the strong winds. With one minute left in the half, Bobby Quinlan received a ball from Jovi Amirkiai and sent a rocket of a shot from 30 yards out that found the upper right corner of the net to bring the game even at halftime. Both clubs traded chances in the second half before Busters got the winner just 7 minutes from time to earn the 2-1 win. SSF now prepares for Palo Alto SC on Sunday Feb 15th at El Camino High with kickoff set for 1pm
