Defending champion Palo Alto SC handed SSFAC a tough 2-1 decision last week. One could say that South City has fallen on hard times, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The team is playing some of it's finest soccer right now and dominating play and possesion....unfortunately they just haven't been able to find the net consistently. PASC struck early in this one but SSF responded with a penalty kick goal from Danny Turgeon in the 62nd minute to bring things level. However PASC answered 4 minutes later to again retake the lead and then held on for the win.
SSFAC has battled in every match and worked hard for all 90 minutes....sometimes luck can play a big role in the final result. Not a team to hang their head, the boys now will have a 2 week break and then prepare for Assyria FC on March 3rd in the South Bay. Meanwhile training will continue as the squad works hard to finish the season strong.
