SSFAC playing their final home match of the season had them looking for a victory to end on a high note. They had to battle a very windy day that created havoc on the pitch, but South City didn't let that bother their game as they defeated JASA Dos by a 4-0 score. SSF decided to go with the wind at their back in the opening half and that decision really paid off with SSF carving out some great chances on goal. JASA had a hard time getting out of their own end as South City kept pushing them back. The first tally came from great work from the feet of Danny Turgeon who crossed a solid pass to Sam Nadell for the tap in. It didn't take long for SSF to double it's lead as Carlos Ballesteros created some magic and played a square ball to Vic Tharakan whose half volley found the back of the net. SSF was now fully in command and made it 3-0 when Turgeon beat three JASA players to slam home a fabulous effort. JASA tried getting back into the match and they did so slowly, but the South City defense which has been brilliant all season long, didn't allow JASA any real chances.
The second half started the same way and it didn't take long for the locals to find the net again as Tharakan roared down the left side of the pitch only to have his shot saved by the JASA keeper, but Chris Kyriacou followed up the rebound to give SSF the 4-0 lead which closed out the scoring on this day. JASA worked hard to find an opening, and on the few runs where they managed to slip through, Keeper Adrian Monroy was there to kill off any hopes of a JASA score.
SSF now looks to make a statement in the PSL Abronzino Cup which is set for March and will close out the season.
