SSFAC ran their season record to 4-0 after a shutting out JASA Dos 3-0 on Sunday. SSF started the game with some nice touches and great movement of the ball from Connor Grant, Greg Hui, Carlos Ballesteros, Sam Nadell and Kevin Ma. Hui was a constant thorn in the JASA defense as he played some terrific crosses into the penalty area for his teammates. South City kept pressing to get that opening goal and it finally happened as a cross from Hui found player coach Gareth Lea who put it home on a beautiful volley.
Shortly thereafter, SSF struck again as a well placed corner kick from Hui found Connor Grant who finished his chance with a terrific header. Defensively, the boys had to defend well and they continued their early season dominance with Fernando Costa, Aidan Durgerian, Martin Wright and Gareth Lea standing strong.
South City looked solid every time they went forward into the JASA end. They eventually found the net once more as Kristopher Szeto sent a well placed through ball to Greg Hui, who raced onto it and slotted it past the JASA Keeper for a 3-0 halftime lead.
The second half saw JASA change their goal keeper and he made a string of fine saves to keep the game close. SSF settled in to keep possession and see the game out with goal keeper Adrian Monroy collecting another clean sheet in the victory.
Next up for SSF is a rematch with Shaheen FC in San Jose on Sunday, November 21st with kickjoff set for 4pm at Watson Park.
